Using BeepMe
------------
Make sure all the files are in the same directory, then run BeepMe.
You will see a STATUS Window, Menu, and Configuration Window.
You can configure BeepMe for your system by pressing
"C". A cursor will appear in the Port field on the right of your screen.
Change this to either COM1 or COM2 (Anything else will cause an ERROR), then
Press Enter or TAB to move to the next field. Now enter the maximum baud rate
for your modem (i.e. 1200,2400,9600), NOTE:BeepMe will not work above 9600 bps.
Then Pager # should be the phone number to dial for your pager plus commas to
delay sending the data. Most modems pause for 2 seconds per comma, you will
have to experiment with the delay here to get it right. Next the DATA field
should contain the numbers you want sent to your pager, I use my home phone
plus 999. Then the name of the file you want your calls logged to. Then the
Delay in seconds that BeepMe should wait after the phone rings twice before
trying to dial out. This should be at least long enough for your answering
machine (if you have one) to pick up an the caller to leave a message. Now
the INIT field is the modem commands to send. I use ATS8=1 to set the comma
delay to equal one second for tighter control in the Pager # field. You must
at LEAST have "AT" in this field.
